Janusz Władyczak - President and CEO

Janusz Władyczak has extensive experience gained in financial institutions, both in Poland and abroad.

Previously, he served as Director of the Investment Products Department at PKO TFI where he was responsible for setting out the product strategy for investment funds, creating and implementing investment and savings solutions offered to customers on the Polish market.

During his work at a financial institution in Austria he implemented structured investment products for private and retail banking customers, as well as derivatives in the form of certificates and warrants listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
At French investment banks he was responsible for the relations and for concluding transactions with the largest enterprises and financial institutions from the former Soviet states, such as Russia, Kazakhstan, Ukraine, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia.

He was also responsible for securing bilateral loans running into millions, structured and syndicated credits and export finance transactions, co-operating with the largest export credit agencies (ECAs) in the world. He also dealt with a wide spectrum of transactions in the capital market.

He graduated from ESCP European School of Management in Paris. He also studied at Vienna University, at the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies forming part of Geneva University, as well as at the Asian Institute of Technology in Bangkok.

He likes to spend his free time actively. He particularly enjoys snowboarding, kayaking and tennis. His passion is travel.

Katarzyna Kowalska - Vice-President

Katarzyna Kowalska was appointed Vice-President of the Management Board of KUKE in June 2016.

She is a graduate of the Poznań Univesity of Economics and Business with a major in Finance and Accounting (specialty in corporate capital investments and financial strategies). Also, a graduate of the London School of Economics.

She commenced her professional career in financial consulting. Since 2012, she worked as Business Developer in the payments industry responsible for business development in Central and Eastern European countries, among others in Poland, Bulgaria, Romania and Kazakhstan. She handled business relations with banks and interbank institutions, including central banks and clearing houses. Next, Katarzyna Kowalska held the post of Deputy Director of the Large Investment Support Department in the Ministry of Development, where she was responsible for managing relations with both domestic and foreign financial institutions as well as coordinating sources and financial instruments.

Tomasz Ślagórski - Vice-President

Tomasz Ślagórski was appointed Vice-President of the Management Board of KUKE in September 2018. He is a graduate of the Faculty of Management at the University of Warsaw and postgraduate studies in accounting at the Warsaw School of Economics. He has also completed Risk Management Studies at the Warsaw Institute of Banking.

He has developed his professional career within the insurance market. Since 1997, he worked at TUŻ Warta Vita S.A., where he was responsible for equity investments of the company. He joined KUKE in 2001 as a specialist. Throughout the years at KUKE, as a director, he managed departments dealing with business areas such as controlling, asset management, risk management, actuary and reinsurance. Prior to being appointed as Vice-President, Tomasz Ślagórski was the designated person responsible for supervising the field of risk management within KUKE.

Dorota Kleszczewska - Member of the Board

Expert with long-standing experience in external relations and a marketing communication strategist. For over 15 years she has been actively involved in 360 degree communication.

Sociologist and a graduate of the Institute of Applied Social Sciences at the University of Warsaw. Her main areas of professional interest include: B2B communication (particularly among Polish manufacturers and exporters), designing and implementing campaigns to promote products and services for the SME sector, and organising business and economic events with and for entrepreneurs. She has implemented numerous marketing and communication projects for leading companies and organisations from the financial market and insurance sector. She has experience in designing strategies for the implementation of new products, and in maintaining investor relations in the Polish capital market. She took part in various projects focused on restructuring and change management.

Recently she has been active in the health sector and in the area of science and CSR. She was a spokesperson for the Mother and Child Institute. Since 2014, she has been the President of the Board of the Mother and Child Institute’s Foundation, which furthers the cause of healthcare and runs campaigns aimed at promoting healthy lifestyle among young people and pregnant women. Her experience also includes management of numerous international projects financed by the European Union. She is a member of the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children (HBSC) network which associates 45 countries and works under the auspices of the WHO. A holder of the title of Ph.D. in health sciences, she is an author of numerous scientific publications. Last year, she was a speaker, among others, at the World Congress of Public Health and the Congress of PR Professionals.

Her passions include horse riding - at the eventing level - and sea sailing. She holds the certificate of a coastal skipper.
